Great period piece with original mirror glass. They used two mirrors because at this period mirror glass was very expensive and very hard to make in larger sizes. Great paitna of several layers of paint that give the mirror its typical French robust look. The french call this dans son jus. The mirrorframe is made out of wood, the decor is made out of clay. France circa 1800-1840. Weathered, small losses. For sale in Mirrors & Paintings | Tresors Trouves
